PRE-UNIVERSITY CAMPS

Code Explorers is the first non-profit in the nation preparing the next generation on the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies. Programs include: Engineering career explorations, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Internet of Things, Physical Computing, and Data Science.  We connect technology companies, academia, colleges with students to share and learn these 21st-century skills utilizing age appropriate kinesthetic activities that illustrate each field.

  • Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • $209 Camp Fee $50 supply fee.  5th-year anniversary Discount! 5% off registration until Mother’s Day (May 12)

NEO/JR Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering
June 10-14 2019

Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Summer Camp for Kids. Learn mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science skills in this super popular summer program. Build devices with CAMS, linkages and super gears. Learn the concepts degrees of freedom DOF and more. Build battlebots and compete with fellow robot inventors. Take a remote-controlled robot hand home.

NEO/JR Internet of Things (IOT) & Wearable Tech Engineering and Programming
June 17-21 2019

Coding Summer Camp for Kids with Micro:Bit – the new rage in IoT physical computing for kids. This tiny computer packs a punch – it has an accelerometer, motion detector, programmable buttons, Bluetooth, and LED light array. Kids code the Micro:Bit with Make code while building toys, watches and interactive games to team play via Bluetooth. This is a coding program for kids that also incorporates electrical engineering and physical computing. NEO students will use Make code BLOCK programming. A Micro:Bit kit to take home.

Age group: 8-10 yrs old

JR IoT Physical Computing with Micro:Bit (Python Programming)
June 17-21 2019

NEO/JR 3D Modeling, Programming and Manufacturing
June 24-28 2019

3D CAD Coding Summer Camp for Kids. Design and code in 3D over the summer! Learn the how to create 3D models using AutoCAD Tinkercad that can be manufactured. Whether it is jewelry, toys or trinkets, this is a fun makers program for kids! Keep what you make. We will use different manufacturing methods such as 3D Printing and CNC cutters to bring 3D models to life. A Makers Paradise for any kid! In collaboration with FIU MBUS and Broward College.

Age group: 8-10 yrs old

NEO/JR Virtual and Augmented Reality for Kids
July 8-12 2019

Virtual Worlds in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality summer camp for kids! Have you seen the VR worlds created for the Xbox, Oculus, or HTC Vive? Design, create, and code your own VR and AR experiences! Students design and code their own 3D Virtual Worlds, Digital Arts and Animation projects using technologies like VR headsets and augmented reality glasses. Students will work in a secured environment.

NEO/JR  Minecraft Tech Miners 
July 15-19 2019

Be a Minecraft Tech Miner in this summer camp! Minecraft is an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your imagination. Kids create, code and collaborate virtually with other in classmates on building Minecraft virtual worlds. Students will work in a secured environment.

NEO/JR Sports Tech: Data Science
July 22-26 2019

Sports Stats Coding Kids Summer Camp. Have you ever wondered why you admired a sports player? It’s statistics!! This program helps students understand the connection between sports, data collection, and data analysis. Kids will play table basketball, baseball, football and soccer in this camp. As students play each game, they will collect, organized, display and analyze the data from game results. A cool way to learn data science over the summer!

NOTE: Children may be dropped off as early as 8:30AM at no additional cost.

This class is for children 8 years of age and above.
